WebI tested 2 iPod classics ( both modded). The first unit was a gen 7 running the Apple firmware. As expected, all built in in functionality of the iPod work with the rhythms system. The 2nd unit was running rockbox. On/off functionality worked along with the volume control. I could not start, restart or advance a track via the remote control.
