It always works, so I've just gotten into the habit of doing that every time I open my DAW. If it's currently on 24bit 44,100 I change it to 16 bit 44,100. I have been able to get into process menu (Task Manager) where even after a crash a FL process keeps running and manually terminate the process. It takes a couple minutes but then usually the driver unlocks and FLS can start normally.
