Starting your own business can seem like a daunting task. With so many things to consider, where do you begin? From the type of business to start; to where to get the capital, these are questions we all have at the beginning. Being indecisive and unsure of yourself is one way to guarantee that you never succeed in opening a successful business. As a group on the verge of starting our own business, our best advice to you is to JUST DO IT.
Getting started is the most important first step. As we’ve learned along the way, you can figure out the details as you go. That doesn’t mean that your business shouldn’t be well thought out and your business plan carefully calculated and suited to fit your goals. It only means that you have to have a little faith in yourself and your team and take a chance. We all have dreams. Now is the time to take those dreams, and create a plan to help turn those dreams into reality. As a group we have laid out all of our goals, and made a list of the small steps it will take to accomplish each. As we grow and learn sometimes those goals or steps change, sometimes the method by which we accomplish them changes. We have learned to be flexible and keep our focus on what’s important, accomplishing the task at hand.
At the end of the day we want to be successful and turn a profit, but even if we don’t at least we have something that we can call our own, because as long as we don’t have something we can claim as ours we remain slaves and dependent on people and institutions that don’t have our best interest at heart. Together we have accumulated a substantial amount of capital in a relatively short amount of time. Each of us consistently contributes a small amount of money to the cause. Individually it doesn’t amount to much but when we come together as a team the weight of our collective efforts amounts to something we can and will work with. Our ultimate goal is financial independence and the freedom to make our own decisions. Follow us on our journey. Hopefully we can inspire others to make their own.
